Extended Policies and Unwritten Practices: Mechanisms of Digital Repression in Myanmar since the 2021 Coup

Research project focused on uncovering the covert and overt strategies employed by the military regime to suppress dissent and control digital spaces, shedding light on the broader implications for digital rights and freedom of expression in Myanmar.

Conducted as part of a research grant with the CEU Budapest Foundation, combining qualitative interviews with activists, policymakers, and digital rights experts with original survey research on TikTok and Telegram users in Myanmar.
